Our Aims & Ambitions

These priorities are based on what local people told us matters most. They set the direction for improving Heywood from safer streets to thriving shops and better opportunities.

01

Thriving Places

We’re revitalising Heywood’s town centre creating attractive, accessible spaces where people can meet, shop, learn and relax. The aim is more reasons to visit, fewer empty units, and a greater sense of local pride.

02

Stronger Communities

Heywood has heart. We’re building on that investing in youth spaces, community hubs, events, and safe public areas. Our goal is a town where everyone feels welcome, safe and connected.

03

Taking Back Control

We want to support local ambition with better access to skills, training, and good jobs. That means helping young people into work, supporting new businesses and creating opportunities for all.
