Heywood Community Development Worker

I'm Vicky, the Heywood Community Development Worker for Action Together's Rochdale team. I work with the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise organisations in Heywood to help strengthen their ability to thrive and to create invaluable links and connections within the local community.

I am very familiar with many of the wonderful projects and community spaces in Heywood and am excited to work in this area. I look forward to meeting new people and offering them the support to gain new skills by accessing volunteering and training opportunities, empowering people to achieve their goals of developing new and innovative project ideas and finding suitable funding, both locally and nationally. These in turn, will create new opportunities that enrich and strengthen the whole community.

I also run quarterly Neighbourhood Network Meetings, where people from a diverse range of backgrounds from the VCFSE sector are invited to come together to share ideas, address issues and find solutions for a wide range of community needs.
